Our project is highly portable. The complete device is no bigger than a laptop and easily fits in a backpack

Charge the system battery with either USB power or, if it's sunny out, with the built in solar panel.

Our device can connect to secure networks such as Eduroam, so security is not sacrificed in the use of the device

The Team

About Zephan

Zephan primarily worked on the software components with Jake, and also helped Chloe with some board work. Outside of Senior Design, Zephan works with Prof. Siddharth Joshi on ultra-low power intelligent circuits. Following graduation, Zephan plans on continuing his work with Prof. Joshi while pursuing a PhD here at Notre Dame. Zephan also enjoys photography, playing the violin, and Olympic archery.

About Chloe

Chloe is from Pewaukee, WI. She primarily worked on the schematic and board design and helped with the final construction of the system. After graduation, Chloe will be working in Tewksbury, MA. Chloe also enjoys sailing, reading, and spending time outside.

About Matt

Matt Hawkins is from Colts Neck, NJ. Matt secretly wishes he had double-majored in FTT. After graduation, he will be working in New York City. Matt was a part of the hardware team. He and Lisa designed the enclosure and worked on the power system. He also helped with board debugging.

About Lisa

Lisa Huang is from Shoreview, MN. After graduation, Lisa will be moving to Seattle, Washington to work at Microsoft as an Electrical Engineer. Lisa worked with Matt on the enclosure and power system of our device, making sure the peripheral components integrated with the PCB, as well as debugging the circuit board. Lisa enjoys playing the violin, travelling, and late night drives.

About Jake

Jake is from Chesapeake, VA. After graduation, Jake will be attending graduate school at the University of Notre Dame. Jake worked with Zephan on the software subsystems, adapting Martin Ger's code to our project and working out details involving development of software and programming of the board. Jake enjoys flying and is hoping for a career in aviation.
